Page, AZ is in a somewhat remote location considering it is one of the main hubs for seeing the American Southwest. Despite its less than convenient accessibility, it doesn't stop the now 4+ million people from visiting each year. Most shuttle services to the attractions and areas of interest near Page are provided by tour comapnies. The main shuttle company in Arizona that is strictly transport is Arizona Shuttle (now Groome Transportation). They have stops in Phoenix, Prescott, Sedona, Flagstaff and the Grand Canyon. Once visitors are in any of the northern Arizona cities, it's relatively simple to book a Grand Canyon, Antelope Canyon & Horseshoe Bend tour that provides guest pick-up from their hotel or within a short rideshare distance from the tour pick-up location.
It is always reccommended that visitors rent their own vehicle if flying into Arizona or Utah. The roads are long and big out in the Southwest, and there's always something fun to stop and see along these desert highways. Not everyone is comfortable with self-guiding, and some tours like Antelope Canyon require a guide. But if you have time and the ability to explore at your own pace, the American Southwest is a great place to do it. Tour guides are fantastic and should be mixed into your experience, but some things you'll experience in the Southwest are best when just slowly taken in.
Rideshares are available in Phoenix, Flagstaff and Prescott. They are not available in Sedona, Grand Canyon and Page. Please call a taxi when making trips where rideshares are not available. A taxi in Page will even take you to Horseshoe Bend and other trailheads! Just a heads up, there aren't very many taxis either, so have patience and modest expectations. Here's the number to Buggy Taxi (928) 645-6664
